Santa Rosa Island Snorkeling

The 10th most popular snorkel dive spot in California.

West of Los Angeles and southwest of Santa Rosa in the Channel Islands, the snorkeling off Santa Rosa Island is known for its marine life over the sandy sea floor.

Due to extremely windy conditions, snorkeling off Santa Rosa Island is for experienced snorkelers only with proper equipment. A guided dive tour is highly recommended.

When snorkeling in the Channel Islands, it is highly recommended to use wetsuits due to cold water conditions. Also, a dive flag marker is encouraged.

Access to Santa Rosa Island is provided by Island Packers ferry service (805) 642-1393.

Overall, Santa Rosa Island is the 10th most popular snorkel dive spot of all 11 snorkeling dives in California.
