Cocos Island Snorkeling

The 4th most popular snorkel dive spot in Costa Rica.

Off the southwestern coast of Costa Rica, the snorkeling at Cocos Island is known to be the best in Costa Rica. The Cocos Island is located about 340 miles off the Costa Rican coastline. When snorkeling off the Cocos Island, you may spot green sea turtles, bigeye jacks, and up to eight species of sharks such as the white tip reef shark and hammerheads.

A popular way to experience Cocos Island is by a live-aboard dive boat. The live-aboard charters typically depart Punta Arenas.

Overall, Cocos Island is the 4th most popular snorkel dive spot of all 21 snorkeling dives in Costa Rica.
