Off northern Palawan Island, the snorkeling at Taytay Bay is very popular dive destination. In Taytay Bay, there are 4 shallow marine sanctuaries that are perfect for snorkeling. These sanctuaries are habitat for whale sharks and dugongs, and have magnificent coral gardens. The most prominent snorkeling sites of Taytay Bay include the Elephant Island, Hidden Lagon, Isla Blanca and Quimbaludan Marine Reserve and Tecas Reef.
Tip - While snorkeling off Taytay Island, make sure to use a diver down flag since the boaters tend to drive fast and be unaware of snorkelers in the water.
To reach the snorkeling in the Philippines by air, you can use Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) in Manila. Alternately, there is another international airport on Cebu called Mactan-Cebu International Airport (CEB), in Lapu-Lapu City that is served by the budget airline Cebu Pacific Air.
