Muscat Snorkeling

The MOST popular snorkel dive spot in Oman.

In the Arabian Sea, the snorkeling off Muscat is popular for its diverse marine life and unique black coral. Muscat snorkelers will be treated to over 900 species of fish including the unique orange and black Arabian Butterfish.

The best site for snorkeling off Muscat is just to the west of the Ras al Hamra Recreation Club. There is also good snorkeling to be found off the beach at Bandar Jissah, and also off Marjan Beach, which is known for its coral reef, turtles and sting rays. Alittle further afield, you can take a charter tour out to the Daymaniyat Islands Marine Park located west of Muscat, which is considered to have the most colorful coral reefs around.

To reach the snorkeling in Oman by air, fly into Muscat International Airport (MCT).

Overall, Muscat is the 1st most popular snorkel dive spot of all 2 snorkeling dives in Oman.
