Fernando de Noronha Marine National Park Snorkeling

The MOST popular snorkel dive spot in Brazil.

Northeast of Salvador and Natal off the Brazilian coast, the Fernando de Noronha Marine National Park is popular for snorkeling. Also known as the Arquipelago de Fernando de Noronha, there are 21 islands that make up this archipelago. When snorkeling in the Fernando de Noronha Marine National Park, keep an eye out for the green sea turtles, reef sharks and stingrays. The best snorkeling is located in the boat-accessed Baia do Sancho, which has a beautiful beach and is known for it large sea turtles (day trips via boat can be booked from Santo Antonio). Also, just to the east, Baia dos Porcos has snorkeling in a small cove with good snorkeling around the rock formations.

The Fernando de Noronha Marine National Park is located about 100 miles off the Brazilian coast from Natal. There are only a limited number of daily visitors allowed into Fernando de Noronha Marine National Park. The best time of year for snorkeling in the Arquipelago de Fernando de Noronha is from August through December.

Overall, Fernando de Noronha Marine National Park is the 1st most popular snorkel dive spot of all 10 snorkeling dives in Brazil.
