Off the west coast of Anguilla, the snorkeling at Prickly Pear Cays is excellent for viewing marine life. The Prickly Pear Cays are centrally located in the marine park. The waters range from 3 feet to 10 feet deep and are teaming with tropical reef fish. The Prickly Pear Cays are located about 6.4 miles offshore from Meads Bay.
To reach the snorkeling on Anguilla, you will need to fly into St Maarten and then take a small connecting plane to Anguilla via Anguilla Air Services. If small plane bother you, there is a regular ferry between the islands from Marigot ferry port on St Maarten to Blowing Point Ferry Terminal on Anguilla. In either case, there is a $20 USD departure tax per person. In case you are just interested in snorkeling off Anguilla, but don’t necessarily need to stay on island, there are several snorkeling tour companies on St Maarten that run multi-island snorkel boat charter tours over to Anguilla, such as Capatin Alan’s Boat Charter and EcoSnorkeling.
Overall, Prickly Pear Cays is the 4th most popular snorkel dive spot of all 10 snorkeling dives in Anguilla.
