Southwest of Hurghada in Lahami Bay, the snorkeling off Giftun Island National Park is known for its amazing coral heads. During Lahami Bay snorkeling, you may encounter porcupine fish, sea turtles, parrotfish, dolphins and stingrays. There are charter boats departing from Hurghada Harbor heading over to Mahmaya that take about 1 hour.

To reach the snorkeling in the Red Sea by air, the international travelers will need to fly into Cairo. From Cairo, the Egyptian national airline, Egyptair, operates all domestic flights in Egypt and serves 11 major airports: Abu Simbel, Alexandria, Assiut, Aswan, Cairo, Hurghada, Luxor, Marsa Alam, Marsa Matruh, Sharm el-Sheikh, and Taba.

Overall, Giftun Island is the 4th most popular snorkel dive spot of all 4 snorkeling dives in Egypt.
