Off the east coast of Puerto Rico, the snorkeling off Palominos Island (aka Isla Palominos) is known for its water clarity. It is part of the Cordillera Keys Nature Reserve. The best snorkeling at Palominos Island is off the northwest side of the island at Ralph Point. The waters range from 10 to 60 feet deep water. While snorkeling Palominos Island you may encounter parrotfish, trumpetfish and seargent majors.
To reach Puerto Rico by air, fly into Luis Munoz Marin International Airport (SJU). To reach the Palominos Island snorkeling, you will need to use the 10 minute boat from Fajardo.
Overall, Palominos Island is the 6th most popular snorkel dive spot of all 17 snorkeling dives in Puerto Rico.
