Off the east coast of Puerto Rico, the snorkeling off Palomenitos Island (aka Isla Palomenitos) is known for its water clarity. It is part of the Cordillera Keys Nature Reserve. The best snorkeling can be found off the southeast side of the island. There is a shallow reef in 20 foot deep waters. While snorkeling Palomenitos Island, you may encounter eagle rays and hawksbill turtles amongst the sea fans and plumes.

To reach Puerto Rico by air, fly into Luis Munoz Marin International Airport (SJU). To reach the Palomenitos Island snorkeling, you will need to use the 10 minute boat from Fajardo.

Overall, Palomenitos Island is the 12th most popular snorkel dive spot of all 17 snorkeling dives in Puerto Rico.
