Oranje Bay Snorkeling

The 3rd most popular snorkel dive spot in St Eustatius.

Offshore of Oranjestad on St Eustatius, the snorkeling at the Snorkeling Museum is known for its underwater cannon display. The Snorkeling Museum is setup by the St Eustatius Historical Foundation in Oranje Bay. The cannons are located directly offshore of the Golden Rock Dive Center. During Oranjestad Bay snorkeling, you may encounter peacock flounder, octopus and trumpetfish. The island is completely surrounded by the St. Eustatius Marine Park, which has a daily use fee for snorkeling dives that can be paid at the marine park office or at a dive shop.

To reach the snorkeling dive sites of St Eustatius (aka Statia) by air, fly into FD Roosevelt Airport (EUX), which is located in the middle of the island just northeast of Oranjestad. In addition, there is also a ferry service available from the nearby island of St Maarten.

Overall, Oranje Bay is the 3rd most popular snorkel dive spot of all 5 snorkeling dives in St Eustatius.
