Southwest of Cape Town, the snorkeling off Duiker Island is popular for its playful Cape Fur seals. The Duiker Island seal colony is on a small rocky escarpment in cool rolling seas. When snorkeling at Duiker, full wet suits are required but this is an entry level dive.

The Duiker Island snorkeling is via boat access only leaving from Hout Bay harbour.

Overall, Duiker Island is the 2nd most popular snorkel dive spot of all 11 snorkeling dives in South Africa.
