Off the northwest coast of Australia, the snorkeling at Christmas Island is excellent. The most popular snorkeling dive is in Flying Fish Cove near the Settlement on the northeastern side of the island. There is an annual migration of millions of red crabs that is spectacular to watch (November or December).

To reach Christmas Island, there are several flights a week from Perth.

Overall, Christmas Island is the 3rd most popular snorkel dive spot of all 24 snorkeling dives in Western Australia.
