In the South China Sea, the snorkeling off Redang Island is known for its sea turtles, reef sharks, stone fish and giant clams. The main snorkeling dive sites are all located within a protected marine reserve.
Redang Island is located about 45km offshore of Terengganu.
Tip - While snorkeling off Redang Island, make sure to use a diver down flag since the boaters tend to drive fast and be unaware of snorkelers in the water.
Overall, Redang Island is the 3rd most popular snorkel dive spot of all 5 snorkeling dives in Malaysia.
