Off the south end of Yap Island west of the Gilman Tip, the snorkeling at the Magic Kingdom is popular for its extensive marine life. While snorkeling the Magic Kingdom, you may encounter butterflyfish, blue damsels, barracuda, tuna, hawksbill turtles, grey reef sharks and white tipped reef sharks. In the water from 20 to 90 feet deep, there are rich reef formations of large coral heads, lettuce corals and branching corals. This is a boat-accessed dive site.
Yap Island is located in the Western Caroline Island Chain. To reach Yap Island by air, there are weekly flights from Guam and Manila.
Overall, Magic Kingdom is the 3rd most popular snorkel dive spot of all 6 snorkeling dives in Micronesia. Several of the better snorkeling spots are nearby Magic Kingdom including Wanyaan Beach, Sunrise Reef, Goofnuw Mini Wall, Peelaek Channel and Mi'il Channel.
