Southeast of Nassau in the Bahamas, the snorkeling at Long Bay on San Salvador is very popular. The Long Bay snorkeling is located south of Cockburn Town and Sugar Loaf on the west coast. The water depth ranges from 10 feet to 30 feet deep.
To reach the snorkeling at San Salvador, most travelers will fly commercial airlines into Nassau on New Providence or fly into Freeport on Grand Bahama Island. To reach the out islands from Nassau, you can either use Bahamas Air (which is known for late departures) or use the mail boat ferry service (393-1064). When traveling to San Salvador by air, you can use the Cockburn Town Airport.
