Just east of Havana and west of Majanzas, the snorkeling at Jibacoa Bay is the most popular and well-known in Cuba. The Jibacoa Bay snorkeling dive sites offer exceptionally beautiful reefs with excellent marine life diversity. A great place to start is right off the restaurant at Hotel Breezes Jibacoa where you will find a maple-leaf shaped reef formation. While snorkeling at Jibacoa, make sure to keep an eye out for the Portuguese Man-O-Wars.
To reach the snorkeling on Cuba, fly into Havana Jose Marti International Airport located on the northwest side of the island. From the airport, head east for 85km to Jibacoa. It is located 60km from Varadero.
Overall, Jibacoa Bay is the 2nd most popular snorkel dive spot of all 16 snorkeling dives in Cuba.
