West of Havana on the northshore of Cuba, the snorkeling at Cayo Levisa is popular for its colorful coral reefs. The isla is located off the north shore of Guanacahabibes peninsula. The best snorkeling can be found in the deeper waters to avoid the sea grass. During Cayo Levisa snorkeling, you may encounter parrotfish, chromis, eagle rays and stingrays among the star coral, brain coral and sea fans.
The most popular snorkeling dive sites are all boat-accessed. There is good snorkeling to the west of Cayo Levisa, to the northeast of Cayo Levisa, and off the northside of nearby Cayo Paraiso.
To reach the snorkeling on Cuba, fly into Havana Jose Marti International Airport located on the northwest side of the island.
Overall, Cayo Levisa is the 12th most popular snorkel dive spot of all 16 snorkeling dives in Cuba.
