West of Port Of Spain off the northwest point of Trinidad, the snorkeling at Battima Quasea is a popular wreck dive in shallow, though murky, waters. The wreck is located in waters from 5 to 25 feet deep located southwest of Chacachacare Island. The water clarity is the big issue at this snorkeling dive site where the water color is typically a light brown. Subsequently, there is limited coral grownth, but there are plenty of reef-type fish. During this boat-accessed snorkeling dive, you can still see numerous timbers left over from the Battima Quasea wreck.
To reach Trinidad snorkeling by air from North America, fly into Piarco International Airport (POS) located southeast of Port Of Spain.
Overall, Battima Quasea is the 3rd most popular snorkel dive spot of all 5 snorkeling dives in Trinidad.
