Southeast of Phuket and southwest of Trang off Hat Chao Mai National Park, the snorkeling at Koh Kradan is popular for the diverse marine life around rich reefs.
Some of the best snorkeling on Koh Kraden is at the northern end of the beach where you can see the coral reef extending out into the sea for over an area of about 50 acres. There is plenty of staghorn coral and brain coral formations. There is also some good snorkeling on the west coast of Koh Kradan at Ao Chong Lom beach. On the south end, the popular snorkeling dive site is off Ao Niang where there is a coral reef offshore.
Koh Kradan is located in the Trang Sea to the west of both Koh Muk and also Koh Libong. It is accessed by ferry service from the mainland. There is also long-tail boat service from the Pak Meng Pier that takes about 1.5 hours.
Overall, Koh Kradan is the 5th most popular snorkel dive spot of all 13 snorkeling dives in Thailand.
