Northwest of Tampa and Dunedin, the snorkeling at Honeymoon Island State Park is known for its remote feeling and family-friendly waters. While at Honeymoon Island State Park, you will feel like you are far offshore of the Florida coast line. The island is directly connected with the mainland by the Dunedin Causeway which is located north of Clearwater.
To reach the snorkeling at Honeymoon Island State Park from Tampa, head south on US275 to Hillsborough Avenue. Head west on Hillsborough Avenue (SR580) to SR586. Veer left on SR586 across the the Dunedin Causeway into the park.
