East of Darwin off Nhulunbuy Township in the Arafura Sea, the snorkeling off the Gove Peninsula is very popular. There are several excellent offshore islands to explore including Bremer Island, Veronica Island and Bromby Island. During Gove Peninsula snorkelling, you may encounter moray eels, stingrays, spotted eagle rays, sea turtles and manta rays.

The Gove Peninsula is located 600km east of Darwin. Fly from either Darwin or Cairns.

Overall, Gove Peninsula is the 2nd most popular snorkel dive spot of all 3 snorkeling dives in Northern Territory.
