In the Whitsunday Islands, the snorkeling at Knuckle Reef Lagoon offers a wide diversity of marine life and coral types. There are over 200 fish species and 1,400 coral species. During Knuckle Reef Lagoon snorkeling, you may encounter giant clams, anemones, clownfish and sea turtles. The Knuckle Reef Lagoon is located about 100km off the coast of Airlie Beach.
Overall, Knuckle Reef Lagoon is the 17th most popular snorkel dive spot of all 43 snorkeling dives in Queensland. Several of the better snorkeling spots are nearby Knuckle Reef Lagoon including Norman Reef, Heron Island, Hamilton Island, Lady Elliot Island, Agincourt Reef and Langford Reef.
