Pear Tree River Snorkeling

West of Ocho Rios near St Ann, the snorkeling in Pear Tree River offers a variety of marine life to observe. This dive site is located about 1.5 miles west of the middle of the village of Runaway Bay. During Pear Tree River snorkeling, you may encounter wrasses, parrotfish, angelfish, butterflyfish, chromis and turtles among the sea fans, elkhorn coral and brain coral formations.
To reach the snorkeling on Jamaica by air, you can use either Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) near Kingston or Sangster International Airport (MBJ) near Montego Bay.
Overall, Pear Tree River is the 18th most popular snorkel dive spot of all 20 snorkeling dives in Jamaica. Several of the better snorkeling spots are nearby Pear Tree River including Runaway Bay and Rio Bueno Bay.
