On the southwest side of St Kitts south of Basseterre, the snorkeling at Frigate Bay Reef is one of the most popular dive sites on St Kitts. Frigate Bay Reef is the house reef of Timothy Beach Resort. It is known for moray eels and sea turtles. The main bay has snorkeling out to 0.75 miles offshore in 30 foot deep water. But the best snorkeling is on the south end of the bay right from shore. Frigate Bay is located 2.5 miles southeast of Basseterre.
After a long day of snorkeling at Frigate Bay Reef in the hot sun, stop by Shipwreck Beach Bar in South Friars Bay for a cool drink.
