Northeast of French Creek off the east shore of Andros Island, the snorkeling at Peters Place offers good marine life among elkhorn coral stands. At this boat-accessed snorkeling dive site, the water dept is about 15 feet and the visibily is usually around 50 feet.

The Peters Place snorkeling dive site is located due north of Goat Cay.

To reach the snorkeling at Andros Island, most travelers will fly commercial airlines into Nassau on New Providence or fly into Freeport on Grand Bahama Island. To reach the out islands from Nassau, you can either use Bahamas Air (which is known for late departures) or use the mail boat ferry service (393-1064).

Tip: Keep in mind while snorkeling Trumpet Reef off Andros Island, the water temperture is known to vary greatly from summer (78F-84F) to winter (68F-76F).
