East of Grand Case off Orient Beach in St Martin, the snorkeling at Green Cay is a popular destination. This snorkel spot is ideal if its a sunny day with calm winds and low surf. The water clarity typically ranges from 10 to 20 feet of visibility at most. Located in Orient Bay, Caye Verte as it is also known is an long swim from the crowded Orient Beach, or better yet, a good sea kayak destination.

To reach the snorkeling on Saint-Martin by air, fly into Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM). Note, there is a $30USD departure tax collected at the airport.

SPECIAL NOTICE: In September 2017, the island of St Martin took a direct hit from the destructive Hurricane Irma. The island infrastructure was severely damaged and will take significant time to rebuild. In particular, Orient Bay was severely damaged with most of the buildings destroyed and abandoned. It is now a very sketchy place to visit with no services. The access road is damaged and the beach front road is in pretty bad condition. There are no restroom facilities at all and no beach rentals.

Overall, Green Cay is the 5th most popular snorkel dive spot of all 15 snorkeling dives in St Martin - Sint Maarten. Several of the better snorkeling spots are nearby Green Cay including Creole Rock, Tintamarre Island, Happy Bay, Baie Rouge, Anse Marcel and Baie Orientale.
