Southeast of Eilat in the Gulf of Aqaba, the snorkeling in the Aqaba Marine Park is renowned for high water clarity and diverse marine life. Typically, there are sand flats with some sea grass from the shore out to 300 feet offshore where the reef starts. The water depth ranges from 4 to 12 feet deep. During Aqaba Marine Park snorkeling, you may encounter pufferfish, damselfish, clownfish, moray eels, sea turtles and lionfish.
The Aqaba Marine Park is located about 6 miles south of the village of Aqaba on South Beach Highway. The best snorkeling can be found across the street from the Bedouin Garden Village hotel.
