On the southeast coast of Mallorca in the Balearic Sea, the snorkeling at Cala Mitjana is known for its long and narrow bay with protected waters. There is a small sandy beach.
Located south of Barcelona off the coast from Valencia, the island of Mallorca is known for its clear waters with good visibility. While snorkeling in Mallorca, you may encounter sea turtles, stingrays, perch, barracuda, scorpionfish, parrotfish and octopus among the anemones and soft corals.
To reach the Mallorca Island snorkeling, fly directly into Aeroport de Palma (PMI) from one of many international cities. The airport is located about 8km to the east of the main city of Palma. The capital city of Palma makes a great base for exploring the Mallorca snorkeling sites.
Overall, Cala Mitjana is the 17th most popular snorkel dive spot of all 21 snorkeling dives in Spain. Several of the better snorkeling spots are nearby Cala Mitjana including Cala Deia, Cala Figuera, Cala Es Trenc, Cala Llamp, Cala Tuent and Cala Banyalbufar.
