East of Madagascar on the northwest coast of Mauritus, the snorkeling at Trou Aux Biches is known for healthy marine life. It is located to the north of Point Aux Piments. It is good for families but watch for boats the further you venture offshore. While snorkeling Trou Aux Biches, you may encounter starfish, damselfish, triggerfish and some dolphins.

The best time of year for snorkeling off Mauritus is during the summer from December through March. The water water is ideal habitat for plentiful marine life and the marine plants bloom. But the water temperature is good all year round for snorkelers.

Overall, Trou Aux Biches is the 5th most popular snorkel dive spot of all 7 snorkeling dives in Mauritius.
