Off the southwest point of England, the Isles of Scilly are popular for snorkeling with graceful grey seals. There are about 500 resident wild grey seals. The Isles of Scilly are located about 28 miles off the coast, and the archipelago consist of over 140 islands. Only five of the islands are inhabited. Out of the island of St Martin’s, there are 3 hour snorkel boat tours that head out to the Eastern Isles whose rocky coves are prime seal habitat. The waters in the Isles of Scilly are known to be cool, so a wetsuit is highly recommended.
Overall, Scilly is the 4th most popular snorkel dive spot of all 4 snorkeling dives in UK.
