Northeast of Belize City and south of Caye Caulker, the Chapel Reef snorkeling provides the chance so see nurse sharks, sting rays and eagle rays. The Chapel Reef is located just east of Chapel Caye.

To reach the snorkeling on Chapel Caye, fly into Belize City International Airport. There are two small inter-island airlines that operate a 20 minute flight to San Pedro airport on Caye Caulker. Alternately, there is an express boat service to Caye Caulker (http://www.belizewatertaxi.com/) from downtown Belize City (roughly $30 per person); the last boat is at 5:30pm and you will need to take a taxi from the airport to the dock (roughly $25). For some reason, the express boat service doesn't seem too popular with tourists, maybe since it is recommend only if your plane lands before 3pm. From Caye Caulker, you can catch a boat out to Chapel Caye.

Overall, Chapel Reef is the 35th most popular snorkel dive spot of all 44 snorkeling dives in Belize.
