Just north of San Diego, the snorkeling at Mission Point offers a very protected cove where you can enjoy the plentiful orange Garibaldi fish. Since this cove is protected, it has no surf or surge, and is perfect for families or beginners. During Mission Point snorkeling, you may encounter octopus, stingrays, sea cucumbers, spiny lobsters and kelp bass up to 24 inches long.

The Mission Point snorkeling is located at the far south end of Mission Boulevard in Mission Point Beach Park.

Overall, Mission Point is the 12th most popular snorkel dive spot of all 15 snorkeling dives in California.
