Off the western point of Sint Maarten in Baie Aux Prunes, the snorkeling at Pointe Plume is highlighted by a scenic beach fringed by iron shore. This snorkel spot is ideal if its a sunny day with calm winds and low surf. The water clarity typically ranges from 10 to 15 feet of visibility at most.

To reach the snorkeling on Sint Maarten by air, fly into Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM). Note, there is a $30USD departure tax collected at the airport. When driving to Pointe Plume snorkeling, you'll have to enter a gated community. Just tell them you are going to the public beach parking area. The best snorkeling is off the iron shore to the north end of the beach and then continue snorkeling north around the point.
